Job Description

The Recruiter plays a central role in OJ Crew’s operations by ensuring the efficient and timely recruitment of seafarers and offshore personnel.
The main responsibility is to source, screen, and present qualified candidates in line with client requirements, OJ Crew standards, and international regulations. This role requires close cooperation with HR Managers, proactive search for candidates, and strict compliance with company quality procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full cycle of recruitment for seafarers and offshore professionals, from sourcing to final candidate presentation.
• Conduct screening interviews, evaluate qualifications, and verify documentation (certificates, medicals, training records).
• Ensure candidates are fully compliant with STCW, offshore certifications, and client requirements.
• Prepare candidate profiles, CV summaries, and professional overviews for HR Manager review.
• Negotiate employment terms with candidates and confirm readiness for deployment.
• Maintain accuracy of records using OJ Crew databases.
• Sort and update incoming applications, maintain certification lists, and ensure data integrity.
• Communicate with seafarers (email/phone) and respond to client or candidate inquiries promptly.
• Follow all OJ Crew ISO procedures, SMO Manual requirements, memos, and reporting guidelines.
• Provide additional recruitment support when workload is low by proactively identifying vacancies and

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or qualifications in Human Resources, Maritime Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Marine industry or HR/recruitment role. If none, also possible, discussable during the interview.
• Strong awareness of crewing activities and recruitment processes.
• Excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
• Knowledge of Maritime industry regulations: MLC 2006, ISO 9001:2015, IMO, ITF, LMSA.
• Proficiency in seafarer documentation, screening, and verification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for negotiations and relationship building.
• Computer literacy: MS Office, Windows, internet search, and database management.
• Social media proficiency (LinkedIn, Facebook) for candidate sourcing and communication.
• Positive, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
• Flexibility, open-mindedness, and ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Salary: 1200-1450 €/mon. net. Final salary offer depends on experience, negotiable after an interview process.
